2010 was the 20th year of "Fishing for Wishes". This year's tournament raised our total from the Bass Fishing Tournament to over $200,000 raised since 1990.
2010 Indianapolis Charity Horse Show
June 2nd - June 5th
The June 2010 Indianapolis Charity Horse Show took place in the Toyota Blue Ribbon Pavilion at the Indiana State Fairgrounds. Proceeds from this show, which is now in its 36th year, benefit Indiana Children’s Wish Fund.
This horse show, completely funded through exhibitors’ fees for class entries and stalls, is a competition for American Saddlebred horses, Hackney horses and ponies, Roadster horses and ponies, Morgan horses and Friesians. It is also funded by class sponsorships and in-kind donations.
The Indianapolis Charity Horse Show has
raised over $200,000 which represents 50 plus wishes granted.
This is wonderful family entertainment. Cost of admission is Free!

2010 Caroline Symmes Memorial Celebrity Softball Challenge

The 2nd Annual Caroline Symmes Memorial Celebrity Softball Challenge took place on Thursday, June 3rd at Victory Field. The event was a tremendous success with nearly 6,000 people in attendance! 50 Celebrity participants took the field in a 5-inning softball game to raise money for ICWF. Robert Mathis, Defensive End for the Indianapolis Colts was joined this year by Roy Hibbert, Center for the Indiana Pacers to co-host the game. At 7:00pm, the Masters of Ceremony Anthony Calhoun, WISH TV Sportscaster and Mark Boyle, voice of the Indiana Pacers invited Roy Hibbert’s Softball Sluggers and Robert Mathis’ Home Run Hitters out to the field. After the National Anthem, David & Elizabeth Symmes, parents of Wish Child Caroline whom this event is named after, were introduced on the field to throw out the first pitch. Caroline was an integral part of our inaugual event as she helped create the TV commercial and formed a strong bond with Robert Mathis.
The teams were evenly split between players of the Colts and Pacers, along with other local celebrities. Celebrities in attendance included Gary Brackett, Pierre Garcon, Dwight Freeney & Peyton Manning to name a few Colts and Danny Granger, Josh McRoberts and Dahntay Jones to name a few Pacers. The 5-inning game was full of exciting moments and high competition. Fans were highly entertained by these hometown Superstars and were also able to get autographs from many of their favorite players. Games took place between innings such as the hilarious "Dizzy Bat" game, along with a moving rendition of "Sweet Caroline" and balloon release.
This event is a great opportunity for all; Wish families, sports fans and the like have the opportunity to watch their favorite athletes out of uniform while giving back to the community! Jack Trudeau Golf Classic 2010
The 2010 Golf Classic took place on Monday, July 12th at the Sagamore Country Club raised over $70,000 and made the wishes of 14 Indiana children come true. 15 golfers vied for a $10,000 cash prize at a separate closest to the pin playoff.
A Kick-off Golf Party took place at Z's Oyster Bar & Steakhouse on the 11th with great food, music and an auction to celebrate the 22nd Annual Golf Classic.

"I'm Going to Saks...For My Favorite Charity!" 
Saks Fifth Avenue Indianapolis is hosting a charity program to benefit Indiana Children’s Wish Fund along with 5 other local organizations this fall season. From Sunday, August 1st through Sunday, October 31st Saks will give local shoppers the chance to look stylish while giving back during this three-month long program titled “I’M GOING TO SAKS... FOR MY FAVORITE CHARITY.” Clients who use a Saks credit card to shop can have 10% of their total amount spent applied to Indiana Children’s Wish Fund.
Customers can register their Saks credit cards at points of sale at the Saks location at the Fashion Mall, and designate ICWF the beneficiary. At the end of the three months, Saks Fifth Avenue will send a check to Indiana Children’s Wish Fund on behalf of all customers who designated ICWF to receive their 10% donation. A minimum donation of $1000 is guaranteed, with the maximum donation capped at $20,000 which will go directly towards granting wishes to Indiana children.
ICWF will be hosting an event at Saks 5th Avenue on Wednesday, September 1st from 6:30 - 8:30pm. Detailed information coming soon!
Mark Boyle's The Wish Walk

Beginning August 17th, Indiana Pacers Radio Play-by-Play Announcer Mark Boyle will be walking 500 miles around the state of Indiana to raise money for Indiana Children’s Wish Fund.
“The Wish Walk” will begin Aug. 17 in Fort Wayne and will conclude in Indianapolis with Boyle making a grand entrance at the Pacers Foundation Golf Outing at Brickyard Crossing on Sept. 21. Major cities along the way will be: Muncie, New Castle, Bloomington, Terre Haute and Lafayette.
Please join us on Monday, August 16th at 10:30am for the tip-off event on Monument Circle in front of Emmis Communications. Wish Fund families and special guests will be on hand to send Boyle on his way, as he leaves Indianapolis and begins his fundraising journey. Tip-off festivities include: appearances from Mayor Ballard, current and former Indiana Pacers, Boomer and the Pacemates, a brief ceremony and give-away prizes. As Boyle makes his way around Monument Circle to West Market Street and North Illinois Street to begin the walk, Wish Children, Wish families, Wish supporters and Wish Fund sponsors will walk with Boyle and cheer him on. A colorful balloon release will officially mark the beginning of Mark's journey throughout Indiana.

19th Annual Portrait of Wishes Ball

Please join us on Saturday, September 25th for our 19th annual Portrait of Wishes Ball at the Indiana Roof Ballroom. POW sells out every year with over 600 people in attendance. This year's Ball will feature Caberet Style Entertainment, silent & live auctions and dinner and dancing. Our 2010 Meagan Skinner Award winner, Thomas Hargett, will be acknowledged during the evening.

A Wish from Paradise

If you find yourself singing Jimmy Buffett songs and enjoy dancing and celebrating with friends, the upcoming “A Wish from Paradise” event, hosted by the Indianapolis Parrot Head Club is perfect for you! This event will be held on Thursday, September 30th from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. at Jimmy Buffett’s famous, Cheeseburger in Paradise restaurant at 9770 Crosspoint Blvd, located off Interstate 69 in Fishers, Indiana.
Guests can enjoy live music, appetizers and cocktails, along with a silent and live auction. Admission is $25/person. Ticket sales will be limited to 100 guests and can be purchased by calling the Wish Office at #317-913-9474.
The PHINdy Parrot Head Club of Indianapolis, a non-for-profit organization founded in 2000, is an official Jimmy Buffett fan club and supports various charities in the Indianapolis area. COLTS PLAYERS, MEDIA PERSONALITIES, INDIANA PACERS PLAYERS, INDY 500 DRIVERS AND MORE were a part of the annual “Wishing on Stars” Celebrity Serve downtown Indianapolis. For the third year Reggie Wayne, star wide receiver for the Indianapolis Colts hosted the event, which included appearances from various Colts players and other local celebrities. Attendees include: Dallas Clark, Joseph Addai, Gary Brackett, Pierre Garcon, Roy Hibbert, Danny Granger, Dahntay Jones & Mike Dunleavy.
Hyatt's Christmas in the Kitchen
